Code Dissolved

Notes on software development

About

I’m Ryan Sandridge. I’ve been writing code for several decades, and I’m still learning.

Code Dissolved is where I share problems I’ve worked through while developing software—especially the ones where finding a useful explanation took longer than it should have. Expect debugging notes, practical examples, and the reasoning behind a fix.

The posts here cover work with Ruby and Rails, Python, and developer tools. Older articles describe the software and circumstances at the time; I add dated updates when the advice changes.

You can find me on GitHub and LinkedIn. Questions and corrections are welcome in the GitHub discussions beneath each post.

This site is built with Jekyll, using a locally maintained theme based on Reverie, and published through GitHub Actions to GitHub Pages.
